A short name,
But really,
It's life-changing.
Back when I was 6,
The time came.
I was always thirsty,
Always tired.
We called the doctor,
And went to the hospital.
I was too young to understand,
What was happening to me.
The nurses gave me shots,
And I didn't even mind.
They changed my whole life,
And at first I didn't mind.
But now I look back,
And truly care.
I see what I lost,
And grieve.
But I know I can be healed,
And trust God to do that.
